Karragullen Expo October 2015

The popular Karragullen Expo was held on Saturday 10th October and was attended by a very large crowd. It was the 32nd time for the event and although visitor numbers were down on last years, it was still very well received. The Pickering Brook Heritage Group combined with Tom Price from Illawarra Orchard to once again present a huge heritage display that included photographic, machinery and electronic presentations. Much interest was attracted and many contacts were made with past residents that told many stories and tales of years past.

A collection of working model steam engines was displayed on our stand, by two keen collectors which contained some very rare and interesting examples. We also had on display all the entries in our Heritage Photographic Competition which this year included both Senior and Junior Sections. These are featured in another area of this website under “Events”.
