Perth Hills Festival October 2017
The rain held off and it turned out to be a very successful day for the Perth Hills Festival (Formerly The Karragullen Expo) on Saturday 7th October. Although the wind was bitter a huge crowd attended and enjoyed the many display and stalls . The Pickering Brook Heritage Group offered free tea & coffee thoughout the day. It also offered seating for visitors to view the many photographic and video displays.
The 1918 Heritage Calendar was released with great success. This year it featured the huge sawmill that was at Canning Mills. Work is underway to provide a gazebo and photographic display to recognise where the site was at the corner of Canning Road and Canning Mills Road. This project is an effort by the Pickering Heritage Group and monies raised from this years Calendar sales will go towards the funding to complete it.
