A Day Out in York – 2026
York is a beautiful historic town with loads to do and places to see.
The Heritage group enjoyed a wonderful day touring through Northam and stopping for morning tea on the river then onto York through the lovely countryside.
Vintage Car Museum.
Our visit included a tour of the Vintage Car Museum.
A wonderful display of cars from all eras. It was a great time for us all to remember having driven or been involved with someone with one of the cars.
Many of the visitors (older) connected with the displays, having driven, owned or travelled. In these cars and bikes. It is often a reality to connect in a personal way with displays in a museum.
Many storied were told about great adventures and tours in some of the cars, particularly the Car Rallies which were very popular in the 1960’s.
Mundaring Weir picnic
And finally, a stop at the Mundaring Weir picnic area for afternoon tea.
It was a beautiful day with pleasant weather and great company.
